No heating in the middle of winter, no hot water with a baby or an elderly relative in the house, or a boiler dripping water onto the floor all count as emergencies. We run a 24-hour emergency line on 01268 855605 for boiler breakdowns across Essex, every day of the year.
When you call, an engineer speaks to you, asks what the boiler is doing and gives you an honest arrival time. On arrival we make the boiler safe, diagnose the fault and repair it there and then where the part is on the van. If a part has to be ordered, we isolate the fault, get the heating or hot water running where we can and return to finish the job.
We are Gas Safe registered (925538), family run and based in Bowers Gifford, so our engineers are never far away. Emergency call-out starts from £120 and the repair price is agreed before any parts are fitted.

Questions about emergency boiler repair 24/7
How much is an emergency boiler call-out?
Emergency call-out starts from £120. That covers the engineer attending and diagnosing the fault. The repair itself is priced once we know what has failed, and we agree it with you before fitting anything.
How quickly can you get to me?
The emergency line is answered 24 hours a day and the engineer who speaks to you will tell you when they can be there. We are based in Bowers Gifford and cover the whole of Essex, so arrival time depends on where you are and where the engineer is when you call.
What counts as a boiler emergency?
No heating in cold weather, no hot water where someone vulnerable lives in the house, a boiler leaking water, or a boiler that has locked out with a smell of burning. If you are unsure, call and describe it. The engineer will tell you whether it can safely wait until morning.
I can smell gas. What should I do?
Turn the gas off at the meter, open windows and doors, do not switch anything electrical on or off, and call the National Gas Emergency number on 0800 111 999 first. Once the supply is safe, call us on 01268 855605 to find and repair the fault and get you reconnected.
Is there anything I can check before calling?
Check the pressure gauge on the boiler is between about 1 and 1.5 bar when cold, check the thermostat and programmer are calling for heat, and check the power supply and any fused spur. If the boiler shows a code, note it down. If none of that helps, call us.
Can you fix it the same night?
Often yes, because the engineer carries the common parts for the brands fitted across Essex. If the part is not on the van we make the boiler safe, restore what we can and come back with the part as soon as it arrives.
